Where in the world is it windy right now?

In a year when we have poor wind across Europe I thought we might have a new running thread that lists where is windy right now or in the next week.

The idea is we dream of being somewhere else, or perhaps make plans to get on a plane. Or perhaps we anticipate a winter storm.

Let's kick this off with some obvious places:

It's nearly mid July, and the Trade winds should be blowing for Morocco and across the Canary islands but this wind has been absent for a few days.
    Back this weekend though:

In the Eastern Med and the Aegean, the Meltimi normally blows hard for July and August but it only now just kicking in:

Isn't Hawaii meant to be windy at this time of year? Flat maybe, but windy....?

    I found this recently, http://earth.nullschool.net/

its a really cool way of seeing the wind forecast overlay on to a 3D world you can spin around. Might not work on phones but should be good most laptops

Click the "earth" button bottom left of the page to see all the options

    Jibe Monkey,
The idea isn't that we list places that are supposed to be seasonally windy – but those which are windy.

So here's a link for Hawaii:

    Late edit:
    Good link from score there.

Windy and warm last night up in Fehmarn, (Baltic coast) loads out and saw something I haven't seen in eons, windsurfboards on the roofs of cars on the motorway, lots of them.

And July? five'll get you ten it's windy in the Gorge.

It's probably pretty windy on maui based on that forecast + the local effects. July and August are super reliable, but also super flat! I'd rather sail here:

Not as windy as maui but enough for great wave riding if the trades are blowing and there's plenty of swell forecast.

Closer to home, the North winds down the portuguese coast seem to be working, and bringing a bit of swell with them:

    Monday looks fun here :
