    Yes you can easily fix them have done a couple of repairs on this one myself, another plus for a custom board

    Chop hopping, jumping off narrowly spaced 9" waves, is best done on the fastest board you own, full slalom fins for upwind angle, mast track well forwards, really powered up on any kind of sail from 1985 thru 2014.
    Outboard straps are just fine, as quick downward pressure doesn't need inboard straps.
    I"ve seen guys get the tips of their fins 8' in the air in 9" chop, bouncing and timing over the previous mini swells in order to hit the biggest one at a good speed and angle.
