Very useful info on this thread - I have an rrd longrider, so tips are very helpful. My largest sail is 6.2, which also goes with my 100litre FSW, but I am now wondering whether adding a 7.5 would be a worthwhile investment.

Maybe 7.8m to get a bigger gap.

For me the best combo with the Kona has been a 9 m2 rotational (Sailworks Retro) and an upright 46 cm slalom fin. That really allows it to lift onto the fin with much better performance than the stock freeride fin.

After reading this thread, the Carb One looks very impressive.

How would it compare to a Neil Pryde RS-X or RS-One?

    To the Starboard Phantom boards?

Are there any other relevant long boards out there?

I had an original windsurfer (teak booms), a Fanatic Ultra Cat. Now I still have the original Starboard Formula board. I am definitely thinking of going back to a long board for cruising around. The Carb One looks great. Are there any others that I should consider?

    No, there aren't.
Got an opinion? Great. Guess what, so's everyone else!
