    Foca, Turkey

Just back from 2 weeks at the Neilson beachclub at Foca. My third visit.

Very lucky to get good wind so early in the season. Planing conditions on 12 days out of 14, including one amazing day when it blew 35 knots all day.

Beautiful scenery. Water warm enough not to need a wetsuit.

Loads of brand new kit. Excellent instruction.

Fantastic food and great customer service. Amazing value early in the season, including flights, accommodation, breakfast & lunch everyday, 8 evening meals, loads of alternative activities (tennis, bikes, dinghies, waterskiing, SUP etc) it works out at 45 per day.

Hmmm. We're just looking at that resort as a July option. Sounds good.

July and August should both deliver good wind.

Be very careful if you windsurf barefoot as there are lots of sea urchins around.

Sign up for the advanced windsurfing coaching. The Turkish instructor, Taner is outstanding. I made great progress with his help.

I like Ortakent but I prefer Foca. Foca town is just a short walk (or dolmus ride) from the Neilson hotel.

The smallest board I used was a 131L, but there were plenty of smaller boards.

if you post your question on the forum on the Neilson website someone at Foca will provide the answer.
