Branksome Dene Chine from 8 till 10. Despite being soaked within 39 seconds of leaving the house the stormpocalypse the BBC were forecasting didn't appear. Pretty sunny and warm. Comfy on a 4.7 and Tempo 92, so not that windy relatively speaking. Swell was waste to shoulder so tiderly compared to what we've had. 4m at 8s it wasn't. Nice blasting with the odd jump and ride. More tomorrow.

Hayling from 10-12, 4m and 74 twin. Sun was out blue sky and waves starting to push through as the tide was coming in. Had a great time, one of the best days at hayling for a long time. The waves got bigger and started to wrap all the way into the beach. on the inside they were about head high and fairly clean. Had some really nice rides with 5+ bottom turns.
Out back the waves were much bigger and working in different spots. Some big jumps going on and great fun watching everyone launching themselves skyward.
Had to call it a day when the wind got up and my arms couldn't take anymore.
Really warm spring like day.
Lots of happy people on the beach.

Once in a decade conditions at Overcombe. Sideshore 4.2-4.7 with waves up to half mast - biggest as the new swell appeared at around 2pm. Incredible!http://forwards4cowards.blogspot.com/ a blog about looping

Nice - I looked at the cam at mid-tide and it didn;t look anything like as big as that close in. Just goes to show how deceiving it can be.
Looking forward to tomorrow morning!
