I've been out a lot in the last couple of months as well. I haven't used anything bigger than 4.4 and I've been out to get a 3.7 and a 3.3

Once, 40 knots + Bramblemet showed an average of 42 and gusts of over 50 (and if anyone tells you that they sail with 4.2 or 4.5 or even 4.0 in an average of 40 knots then they're being about as honest as they are about planing in 10 knots of wind)
The Manic is designed around a 370, not a 340, one of the reasons I bought it (the rest are listed in a previous post) and it's a very comfortable sail to use.Just because you shout loudest don't mean that you're right!

3.7, in order that you can lend that sail to whichever of your smaller mates has failed to bring an appropriately sized sail to the beach, leaving you free to use your 4.0 / 4.2.Eeeh 'tis grim dahn Sarf.
