Nice to read all you guys posts on the budget and ideas to save money . lol. My daughter works, high up in the benefits department and she gave me some figures about claimants . A single person on jobseeker allowance gets , £67 per week and up to £495 per month towards rented property .Thats works out £3484 living ,£5940 to their Landlord ,total of £9424 per head per year. ok. This is only one area to look at and theres many saving and cuts needed elsewhere as well . But and here it comes . A single mum/dad with 2/3 kids on benefits receives . £999 per month towards rent , £250 living per week , free health care , free dentistry, and the cost per head for a child to go to state school is £27k per child per year . (true) so the total benefits cost of single parent with 2 kids to the country is,,,,,, A minimum of £77k per year . now times that by 5million (single parents in the uk on benefits) .total £385.000000000 minimum . Try and sort that out . lol And theres another 10 million working part-time and claiming child/housing benefits aswell . Thats where alot of your tax money is going .

I took advantage of the 1p off beer duty, although I'm afraid that what I would have saved over the year has just disappeared in one evening. Bummer.

The guvment should give me a coupla hundred thou to retire early thus creating a job for an unemployed person & not work me into the grave whilst depriving me of TOW & TOB (Time On Bicycles).
