    Definitely a wetsuit for me. You'd probably be OK in a shortie, but I'll still be in my 3/2 long leg (and I even have a 4 mm short-arm suit for chilly days).

    I don't surf myself (Mt-biking is my no-wind activity) ... there is good surfing on Tenerife, but you'll have to drive to get decent waves. Playa las Americas is the closest to Medano (about 20 mins drive). There are places to rent SUPs and that's probably better for the waves around Medano.

    Chilly days Tenerife ? never .lol. if your a northern Hemisphere sailor,sailing in jan/feb El Medano its Shortie or shorts & a rash vest ,never wet suit ,lol, They should try Camber this time of year ? . Medano is like sailing in a hot bath compeared to the UK .Great sailing if it blows Northeast , knocks spots off Dominican rep & you dont spend all your spare time sitting on the toilet , lol

    Hi Dave, thats great news! I'd like to think im pretty tolerant of the cold!!! Has anyone got any advice on the best forcast for whilst im out there, and what to look for for a good days sailing?? I understand the winds normally N.E which is cross on from the left, however how windy does it need to be on guru etc for it to be sailable?? Charlie
