If you look at my van build on the link above, its under the sliding drawer holding the saucepan and red kettle! In reality this means it is behind the drivers seat.

Thanks James, a lot of work has gone into that.
Did it come with a single passenger seat? Mine has a double that i want to replace with a single, but then i don't know what to to with the second pretensioner. Any idea?

    Hi

I bought a spare drivers seat as single passenger seats are/were hard to come by and went for silly money on ebay. You can then swap the seat belt clip to the correct side, simple bolt off one side bolt on the other side job. The only downside is that the lever to recline the seat is on the wrong side. Not really an issue.

I put the double seat belt tensioner back on so as not to confuse the ECU. I think you can fit the single pretensioner but may have to have the ECU reprogrammed so it does not throw up an airbag fault.

I simply cable tied the spare one to the underside of the seat facing the passenger door in case it ever went off. I think they retract rather than fire anything out if they go off.

I fitted a turn table whilst at it which is the single best thing I have done to the van IMO. Opens the rear space up.

Definitely not ,modern Canbus systems fitted to current vehicles work like a sophisticated ring main on very low voltages to specific items the slightest interruption in the system will cause problems with lots of lights on the display and error messages .
The correct way is coming off the battery with an intelligent charging system which monitors the Main and the accessory battery Jeff Scott or someone like him (caravan specialist) is the best bet meddling with electrics on a T5 can be Catastrophic
Some say when you get to Fifty you dont have to grow up or punctuate ?
