    Brandon Bay would get my vote. Driving from Kent is a bit of a slog but not too bad really. 4-5 hours to Fishguard or Pembroke Dock. If you go do the overnight ferry and get a cabin so you get a decent kip. When you get to the other side another 4-5hrs drive.
