mag tests from the ahd maui force 2001
Hello,
I'm about to buy an Ahd maui force 8'4 from 2001 (for a very cheap price), and I'm looking for mag tests of this board.
If you have that and you could scan it, I would be very happy!

This was the Bill Foote design, correct? I don't have the scan for you but I recall it getting a good review. Hopefully the cheap price was no more than a six pack for a 12 year old board!

Yes it's this one. I'll have it for 50€ which is basically the price of the fin and straps.
I would like to compare it to modern board and also to experiment some stuff on it actually.

you could shorten the nose and optionally
also the tail to a mini square.
would make it feel more compact
and less pure sideoff down-the-line
specialization.

I owned that one, a classic!.
Very good and lively board at that moment.
Last summer i met the guy who I sold it to and we changed gear.
Compared to my Witchy it feels a bit long and stretched, but it still planes early and has a beautiful botomturn.
imo its far from a side-off specialist, more a good easy to surf allrounder with a very good build quality. I woulnt mutilate it.
Sailrange for my 88kg: optimal 5.5 -4.5 on northsea conditions, but you can stretch it to 4.0 without a problem.188x90kg 39y old, warning: fin/carbon fetishist
Wind: Witchcraft83 V3.0 + Witchcraft96 l Flextail with 5-Oceans sails
SUP: Starboard Race12.6x29.5 + Starboard Widepoint8.10 + 10ftx29 Chinadoll + Naish Hokua9.0

I owned one for 6 years.
Very good build quality so you should get some good sailing out of it unless its been trashed.
It planed reasonably well but got better as the conditions got harsher, delivering a wonderfully smooth ride. Very manoeuvrable and forgiving board.
I only upgraded to get a more crisp feel.
At that price, it's a bargain and should offer great all round performance.
