A lot of the freestyle this winter went to Brazil for their training – not Jeri, whch some say is now too crowded, but to Sao Miguel do Gostoso, where Kauli Seadi has a windsurf centre.

I went there 5 years ago instead of Jeri and it is a great location, more kites than sails but lots of space and a great double reef for jumping and riding, had it all to myself, complete heaven, I've never ridden so many waves in my life!
