    Default OT: Surfing, Rip Curl Pro Peniche

    Trials are on today with the main event starting tomorrow. I like watching this one as I spent 3 weeks there learning to surf as part of a 3 month surf trip in 1993 . They've got some swell forecast and its a mobile event with breaks facing all directions so there should be some good action even if Supertubos isn't happening.

    Today is finals day and they are already under way with Quarter final heats..

    Looks like their patience paid off with some good barrels for the final heats.

    JJ Florence vs. Joel Parkinson next. Big heat in terms of the overall standings.
