    Yep thats what I do. I use some fine cord and have a clip secured to the end of it. I use zip ties which are left on my helmet, boom, mast mount etc so that I just need to clip the leash to them...no messing about with bits of string or knots.

    Yes, great pic, Rod!
    Angling the camera off to one side like you do frames the jumps really well - what happens when you're riding a wave back in, do you get useable shots? I guess most if the time our conditions are more jump orientated, so setting up like that makes sense.
    also is that a frame grab from video, or is the camera taking timed shots, and on what mode?
    i haven't sailed with my camera in ages, gotta sort myself out.
