Kona Windsurfing in Ireland
So after many years of talking about it, on this forum and elsewhere, today I'm happy to say that Kona racing is going to start in Dublin. 5 Kona ONEs and rigs arrived today at Malahide yacht club where we are going to become members and race as a class alongside the clubs existing racing fleets. The club is based on Malahide estuary which is a perfect venue for sailing and easily accessible from Dublin city centre by car or train. Hopefully this is the start of something that can grow to a size where the fleet is sustainable, it would be great if other fleets were created around the country and regional and national events could take place.
