    Default OTish - Israel

    I'm off to Israel for 2-3 weeks in September on a work trip. Anyone with general experiences of life out there, and also if weekend trips to the beach avec harness are viable? The vid posted on here recently looked interesting, can't remember if any locals posted. Got a contact out there who has already offered MTB guiding, not sure if kevlar vests may be a bit warm at that time of year Understand Haifa and Tel Aviv are pretty cool places to visit, but just trying to look for positives for being away from home for a fairly lengthy period. South Coast wind guaranteed this Autumn.

    There was somebody who regularly posted on here a few years back who was stationed in Israel and regularly sailed on one of the lakes which apparently has a thermal wind. It may even have been the sea of gallilee.

    That was Puzzle wasn't it? I think that might have been on the old (MKII) forum though. Didn't he become one of the 'hoover gang' in Brighton? I can't find that piccie I'm afraid.

    Puzzle get's about doesn't he? I'll have another delve thru the archives.

    In the meantime, any Israeli windsurfers want to comment I'm all ears. And for reference I'd be in Kiryat Gat for the duration, with hopefully the option for a weekends R&R on the coast if I can sweet talk the boss.

    That's it - Puzzle. He was a bit of an Arf: zero to hero in about a year. I seem to remember though that the lake was much windier than the sea, though it looks a bit lamo here.
