After having no wind for their first day (Thursday) the AWT had wind and good wave conditions for Friday (yesterday) at the Pistol River event in Oregon.

Interesting how this glossy video flatters the spot as perhaps the helicopter shots of Hookipa etc do. Besides some nice jumps, frontside hits, backside 360's etc you also get a good impression of how nasty it is to get caught on the inside there with unrelenting white water pushing you onto Godzilla. The shallow reef just downwind of the tiny beach makes it a bit like Hookipa in reverse in terms of ending up on the rocks.

No news from the AWT this morning but any wave sailor should watch this new video from Neil Pryde.
There's some great footage on here but it's also very amusing to watch Swifty and Polakow testing and trashing sail prototypes.
